I have some BAD problems!!! HELP!!!!!! I went to the track today and it slowed down like 6/10th's on MOTOR!!!!!! and I sprayed it and it picked up 3 tenths on a 75 shot!
I borrowed a freinda auto tap and I revved the engine to 3K and snapped the throttle and it pulled 5 degrees timing right there!
I am gunna try to change those knock sensors next week and see what happens.
What COULD be wrong???(I'm open to ANY ideas)

Today I put the car on a Snap On Scanner at school and I took a hammer and tapped(well pretty much beat) the crap outa my heads, intake and the valve covers to simulate an actual knock in the engine and NOTHING happened!

Re: I have some BAD problems!!! HELP!!!!!! Lets start with you mods and what you have done since your last passes on motor.
How was your MPH yesterday in comparison to your previous passed? MPH is a better indicator to power loss/gain than ET.
Try and get at least three full traces on Autotap at WOT capturing just your pre-cat 02 sensors and timing along with engine RPM. Just reving the engine does not give a true picture of what is happening at WOT.

Re: I have some BAD problems!!! HELP!!!!!! Mods since last passes: ngk tr6's, trans cooler, a fernco, and 3.73 gears.
The mph yesterday was 103 on motor compared to 107 and 108 the last time.
I might try to go to a freinds house friday night and see what I can do.
I might buy one knock sensor and replace it and see what happens.

the DA can account for around .3/.3 mph I believe. Didn't you run 12.9 before and ran 13.4 this time? Thats pretty close. I am not sure of exact DA but it was WAY negative when you ran the 12.9 and definately positive(around +500-600) this past sunday.
As for your knock sensor problems maybe someone can help!@#^&???????

Re: I have some BAD problems!!! HELP!!!!!! I doubt your knock sensors are bad.You need as said before,to take the car out with A-tap hooked up and check it out.You could be running lean and that pulls timing.

Re: I have some BAD problems!!! HELP!!!!!! Yes Shawn the problem with the SES light did come about after the first test shot, which it did run 2 back-2-back 12.80's and I think there was a possible 12.7 in the car that day but I don't see how the weather slowed the car down .6!
I was hoping to drop an extra tenth or 2 with the couple of things I did not slow down .3's(according to the weather differences)
