Thanks Brian... No big hurry, as the motor is still sitting beside the car, and I'm not gonna change the tires right away.

Default Paging Coach...

Coach, I remember you having some fairly tall front tires on your hotrod. I'm probably switching to a 29.5x10.5W in the near future, and want to run a taller tire than the standard 26x4.5 ET Front I used to have on the car.

What size are your fronts???? Any rubbing when you turn?

George,

I have M/T 28inch tall front runners on the Hot Rod right now. I have also run the 26inch tall front runners. I swithched to the 28s to try and slow me down on the tree just a little. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I was hitting the tree just a little too hard down the stretch last year. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

I got this idea from all the S/E drag racers I talked to. <img border="0" alt="[worship]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" />

Good luck to ya this year. <img border="0" alt="[angel]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_angel.gif" />

Coach,
My 26" tall tires are awful close to rubbing when I make a hard turn. Did you have to modify anything with the 28s or is turning still not a problem?
