How Many Miles Do You Think You Average...
I bet we'll have some interesting numbers in different geographic locations.
<strong> I won't even try to figure it up. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Even a guess is okay... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Gotta love being a full time bracket racer. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Fuel (tow vehicle): $12
Race entry: $35
Race fuel: $25 (will vary depending on time trial runs and how many rounds I get to).
So that's ~$72 for a night of bracket racing at what I consider my local track (45 minutes away). Obviously, a race farther away would be more gas for the truck, and have more misc. expenses that I haven't even mentioned, like food, drinks, etc...
It's ~45 miles each way to Gainesville Raceway, so it's a ~90 mile round trip. Last year I made 17 trips to Gainesville (and that was only from August-December). So that's a little over 1500 miles. I also went to the Thunder Shootout (1300 mile round trip), a GAFBA event (550 mile round trip), and went down to Orlando Speedworld a couple of times (300 mile round trip).
When I have a full year of racing, it's a good amount of mileage. Just for reference, I bought my 2000 Dodge Dakota (which is my tow vehicle) in July of 2000, and have ~48,000 miles on it (and only drive 8 miles to work every day).

I get 300 miles to the tank, ~$40 to fill up.
My local tracks are 50-80 miles from me, but my preferred track is GLD and it's 50 miles from me.

Remember, I have been know to race at one track on Friday night then a different track on Saturday night and then on Sunday a totally different track all together. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />
That would cost me about $100.00 in gas money to the track for the tow truck. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Guys you need to buy your race fuel by the 55 gallon drums. It is a whole lot cheaper. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
Good luck this season. <img border="0" alt="[angel]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_angel.gif" />
