Default What is my problem?!?!?

Ok....my WS6's best time is 12.28 @ 110.26 with a 1.75 60ft. My car was consistantly in the 12.3s and low 12.4s regardless of weather. This was with the same mods below except with a Midwest 3000RPM 2.5STR converter on BFG DRs. I went to a custom built 3600 stall mimicing a Yank SS3600. My best with that was a 12.51 and I spun every launch. hen, I bought 11.5" ET Streets (26 in.). My car ran 12.8s @ 106!!! Found out the converter went bad. So, I got my money back and bought a Midwest 3400 2.5STR. The best my car has went is 12.60 @ 107.47 with a 1.79 60ft since then. Weather wasn't the best, but I mean, my old setup up would have had a much higher MPH and 60fts were always in the 1.7s. I have only 60ft'd 1 time in the 1.7s....most are 1.8-1.82. I have gone from ET Streets to my Nittos with no improvements. Anyone have any thought to what my problems might be? Oh...I need to get a retune just because I am banging the rev limiter really hard on the 1-2 shifts. Hopefully I can get it retuned soon. Thinking about sending my PCM to PCM4Less...any thoughts?

I think you're comparing apples to oranges. I don't think its all in your tune. Banging the rev limiter is certainly slowing ya down but the weather, track prep, suspension and expierence driving with slicks make a big difference.

Well, I went 12.39 on my first set of ET Streets and I trapped at 109. I have run on Streets before and know how my car launches the best on them (or at least with the old setup). I would stall to about 1700RPM and go. Flashing makes my 60ft worse and stalling to the highest I can will get me my best 60ft but I can't do that right now because I will bang the rev limiter so hard on the 1-2 shift that it makes the car feel like it is coming to a standstill.

Is your 60 foot worse b/c you bog or because you spin? In the mean time until you can figure out why you are hitting the rev limiter, would you be opposed to shifting your transmission manually? When you put the car into 1st or 2nd it takes the control away from the computer and you have to do the work yourself I know a lot of people say that's a no no but I've had success with it, and I haven't broken anything by doing that.
