Do any tracks let you borrow a helmet?

Palmdale, North up the 5fwy to the 14fwy. About 2 hours north of you with traffic. It is 1/4 mile track.

LACR
Thanks for the info 12secSS. Do you or anyone else know if it would be better to take the 15 to get to Palmdale from Orange County?

Well, what you could do is grab the 210W from the 605N. Where are you roughly, what fwys? The 210 end st the 5fwy just south of the 14fwy split. The 15fwy would be the long way around.

I'm in Irvine (5 fwy/55fwy).

My Nittos have a little less than 1/16th. How strick is their tech?

With the big weekend here, the drive is probably going to be a nightmare. I really want to go, but I probably should wait until another less busy weekend. Are you going?

I don't go up the 15 very often (only to vegas), but i believe you can get HWY 138 off the 15 just past Cajon BLVD.

Take the 15 FWY North to the 138 (Pear Blossom) HWY West. Make a right at Avenue T. LACR is about 3/4 of a mile up the road. I believe there is a Gas sation on the north-west corner for a point of referance.

Edit: P.S. Make sure you go with your Air filter. LACR is REALLY dirty.

Tech is kind of lax, unless they suspect something. I usually do not have any problems, they know my cars very well and we just go straight through. Traction is OK sometimes, for best results you have to - absolutely - definately - seriously required - need to do a burnout just past the water box on the dry pavement to get great launches. I have been able to cut very low 2.0s up there on street tires, your burnoput must be at least 4 seconds long and take it (floor it) all the way up to the staging line. I won't be up there, I have to get somethigns sorted out with the project car first ... 10-point cage, 5-point harness ... to be legal just in case it runs in the 11s.
