Default Question on ET fronts, DS2's etc...

I have a broken belt in one of my radials up front on my skinnies. I was thinking about picking up a set of ET fronts or DS2's as a replacement.

I was wondering if you think it would benefit me to get the 25x4.5x15 ET front vs one that is 26 inches tall?

I am running 26x8.5 slicks on the back with convo pro 15x7.5 inch rims.

This would lower the front of the car about an inch for better aerodynamics and I'll save a bit of weight with the 25 inch DS2, ET front versus a 165 VW radial. What do you think? Should I go 26 or 25?
thanks!
Chris

DS2 is NOT design for vehicles over 3000lbs.Its a 2-Ply tire and I wouldnt run it on your car.I know there alittle heavier but the 8-Ply M/T Sportsman is a very good tire for street/track.

What about the 25 inches tall vs 26 inches tall?

wouldnt you want a taller tire to get better rollout and hit the lights a little harder/faster?

I have 26" DS2's on my car and they work great at the track. I've driven them on the street a bit and they are just OK. When these burn out I'm going back to the 165Rs.

I run 28"DS2's on my Hot Rod right now.

I had 26" Goodyear front runners on her before but I was hitting the tree to hard so we went to a 28" tire. We wanted to slow my reaction times down just a little.

My Hot Rod last season was around 3,500 lbs and she ran just fine with the DS2's. Now, I do not run these on the street at all.

IMO-I would go with the 26" front tire. The 25" tire sure would make the front end very low. You would most likely burn up the front inner wheel wells when you brake the car after the finish line with the 25" tire.
