Removed heater core....can I get what else is left of the A/C?

Removed heater core....can I get what else is left of the A/C? I got the heater core out yesterday. I want to remove the A/C condenser (I think that is what is left) that is back on the firewall. I don't want to remove the entire HVAC system though since I want to be able to move some air in the cabin. Can I still remove what is left over from the A/C? How would I go about doing that? Thanks in advance.
