Coach's motor is the same as last year. We just freshened it up with new rings, bearings, TR race headers (vs. his old Hookers) and updated cylinder heads. The tranny was also rebuilt and a new REV-lok II clutch installed. His old clutch looked like it could go another 200+ passes, but we thought it would be a good idea to change it while the motor was out.

Yes I'm trying to figure out which body parts Coach doesnt need. We decided he needed his arms and legs so we know what that leaves.

Congrats on getting the Hotrod back on the road Coach. I'll be there with you Wednesday to witness the event. I'll also be there to compete with ya in the brackets . That thing ought to fly! Good luck to ya and I'll see you out there!

I have got a few emails on Coach's car, wondering what exactly was done to the motor. Here is the complete list (as much as I can remember):

- JE forged pistons
- Oliver 6.125" connecting rods
- stock crank
- JE rings
- Federal Mogul rod and main bearings
- GTP stage 2 truck heads, milled .050" (2.02/1.57)
- TR230/224 .575/.563 111lsa/111ICL
- Katech oil pump
- Crane lifters
- Comp adjustable timing set w/ JWIS chain
- GM '02 MLS head gasket
- ARP headstuds
- ATI superdamper

All we did this time around was install new rings, bearings, lifters, rod bolts, and refresh the heads with updated porting and 987 valvepsprings/GM locks. The motor made over 300 passes last year and held together fine, so we didn't want to change too much. lol

All the interior is still in. We just gutted the dash and added Strange brakes on the front and deleted the Power master and P/S rack.

Good luck with you re-freshed hot rod coach. I'm sure the local points racers hate to see you get that thing back. Sounds like your ready to take the fastest hydraulic cammed M6 title.
