Default The Hot Rod is back!

Men and Women, childeren of all ages the Hot Rod is better than ever. <img border="0" alt="[worship]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" />

Big thanks to Thunder Racing and Madman Racing. They are the best IMO! <img border="0" alt="[angel]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_angel.gif" />

The boys at Thunder have just built me one hell of a motor, and the thing runs like a scaulded ape. <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

I think we had like 4 or 5 test pilots. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

The way that the thing felt on the street, we might just run faster than 10.78 record. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

Track times will come on Wednesday at HRP! <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Good luck to everyone no matter what shop you come from. <img border="0" alt="[angel]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_angel.gif" />

Just got back from the shop. Coach dropped the car off so I can align it and scale it. The weight will be known tomorrow. We removed the power rack and master and all the a/c, stereo etc.

By the way the new Thunder motor sounds killer now all I have to do is get the HP to the ground. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

It will run maybe even lower than
10.50's, Who knows with Coach driving it will go that fast if it is in the car...I am sure the HP will be transferred to the RW's <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Glad the Hot Rod is finished. Good luck Wednesday running faster than 10.76.

If you could list the changes to your car and dyno # for the new motor.

Coach, what is your raceweight going to be this season? From what I gathered from your earlier posts, Madman essentially pulled out everything non-essential for dragracing. How light is it?

Thanks everyone. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Big thanks to Jason and the crew at Thunder Racing. We worked on the Hot Rod from about 2:00pm until 10:30pm on Friday and 10:00am to 5:30pm on Saturday to get her ready. <img border="0" alt="[worship]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" />

All Thunder did was a freshen up on the motor, trans and found a little more HP! <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Sean, Madman said just about everything we did to the Hot Rod except for the Strange racing brakes and taking off anything that we could to make her lighter. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Mike, Race weight should be known today. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

I can't wait until Wednesday! I hope to win some money this weekend. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

The motor (i believe) is a GTP/TR230 heads and cam on a forged 346 bottom.

The motor is a LS1 346 with GTP stage 2 heads and a Thunder Racing 230/224 on a 111 lobe cam. Forged Oliver rods and JE pistons.

The Hot Rod came in at 2900 lbs. This without me in her. My weight is 250. So a grand total of 3,150. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

Madman is hard at work on trying to get even more weight out of her. <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

My goal was to have her weight 3,200 with me in her. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Now, all I need is Wednesday to harry up and get here. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />
