Installed springs now car is slower? Help
I was running consistent 8.2's@87-88 with 2.0 60ft times and then I installed a eibach pro-kit with wolf relocation brackets. Now with nittos cutting a 1.9 60ft consistently I am running 8.3-8.2@85-86. How could springs cause me a lower trap speed? I was told I may have valve float but I'm unsure how to check. Can anyone help me out? Car is a 6spd.

You shouldn't have valve float if you haven't fooled w/rev limiter. What are you shifting at rpm-wise? Are you doing a real GOOD burnout w/the Nitto's? What size Nitto's? 275-40x17's? WJ. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Installed springs now car is slower? Help
Yes doing a real good burnout, I go around the water box, back into it, spin em then do my 5 second burnout. I was launching at 4k and dumping the clutch and cutting 1.9's all night, but the clutch was slipping. At the end of the track my tranny wouldn't go into gear without pumping the clutch, pedal stuck to floor. I'm shifting around 6k I believe but I don't have a shift light. Nittos are 245/50/16 on silver zr1 wheels. Could a slipping clutch cause a loss of mph? I have not messed with anything on the car yet but I don't understand what is going on with my car, Im driving it the same way as when I was trapping 87-88. Thanks for the help.
