Default G5X-2 Track times

OK here is the deal...
only got 2 runs in.. then the drive shaft broke..
The car was in full weight form..leather ,T-tops,12 disc changer,TSC.etc...3/4 tank of gas

Stock 3.42 gears
Ran on BFG DRs
60 ft was not good at all could have done better if the shaft didnt break..by playing with different lauch RPM

1.98 60ft 12.18 @118.7 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[gruffy cottonball]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_gruffy.gif" />
This is a MPH freak...could have probably got a 119mph out of it

Well the 12 bolt and 4.10s will be in soon..

I think with the gear and a good 60ft the car will be capable of 11.30-40 @ 122-124..Full weight

Once again..LG Motorsports has impressed me even more <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I highly recomend this cam..its so BAD....
The drivabilty is great also..it is my wifes Daily drive ..so you know it has to be good for her not to complain about the drivabilty

Another saticified LGM customer <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

118.x is sick no doubt, esp with the small gears! now what i want to know is what it dynoed with the cam setup and also if possible, get a sound clip. i just dont understand how a cam with 240 some degrees of duration on the exhaust side can idle well at all, much less be a dail driver????

i mean alan (rageman) car nearly died big time (since Nitin said so!) when the rpms came down fast after the burnout......

again congrats on the mph!

Jason, call me!

We will put the other DS in for this weekend, and go at it again.

This is his wifes daily driver. We worked hard on the idle, and part throttle drivability area of things. I hate surging on cold starts, so we made sure there was none of that with his program, and for that matter any of our programs.

Untuned, his wife complained a little bit the first day it was done, but since the tune, I havent gotten any mean voicemails from her yet!

We should be at the MFBA/Speedinc dyno day if everything pans out this weekend.

Take care,

Louis

My car didn't have ANY driveability tuning done to it at the time, though. This big ole cam drives really well for not having any tuning. Hopefully I'll finally be getting my driveability tuning this weekend.

I may also have some new track times to report this weekend.

10's are coming soon.

Jason,
that's some wicked trap speed. . .

What's your raceweight. . . or if you don't know that, how much do you weigh?
<img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Did you have skinnies up front?

later

That's an excellent baseline, basically on stock size radials all the way around...

So maybe 3650 raceweight?

My Z28 w/o spare & jack, + 1/4 tank, + me (220lb's) = 3450lb's

Add in ~40lb's for spare & jack, subtract 50lb's for body weight, and + ~40-50lb's in gas = ~3500lb's +/- 20lb's.

<img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Not downplaying the speed, cuz it's haulin' ***.

It has been like 40degress in the mornings here..
just hit the key and it fires right up and idles at 1100rpm for a few minutes til its warm...then it idles at 950rpm..
Pull up to a stop light and it idles down to 950 with out any surge at all....I now its hard to beleive but its TRUE..It has one hell of a good drivabilty tune..The wife just loves driving it..

I just need the 12 bolt and 4.10s so the speedo is correct ,cause it is tuned for 4.10s

I think I just might drive it to my local grain Elevator and pull it on the scales also....
