Air Bag Deploy

Anyone ever have the air bags blow on them during a rough launch?

It didn't happen to me, but a few friends and I were discussing it. If you pull a 1.4ish 60' and lift the front and then it smacks the ground could the airbags deploy?

someone local (LT1) popped the airbags on launch when the output shaft broke on his tranny <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

the only time i have ever heard of an airbag going off at the track is the same car that fireball mentioned. when the tranny broke it set off the sensor that is behind the shifter on the drivetrain tunnel
