Current supercharged LS1 record... 9.61@139mph My understanding is that Ronnie Duke's black convertible TA went 9.61@139mph in Ohio last week, with like a 3550 raceweight... Ronnie are you out there can you confirm the time... If you can that would be great since it would be the record now. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Next fastest would be reportedly Jeff Bush' Formula, the old HPS car, supposedly went 9.67@142mph just on blower a week ago at Ennis.
I'm not sure who #3 would be... I think the next car (just blower) might be in the mid 10's.

I have been trying to find out about Ron Duke since I found his Black T-Top WS6 featured in High Performance Pontiac (Feb. 2002 pg. 60 "The World is Not Enough"). That car was so awesome, then it just dropped off the face of the earth. I haven't heard about it once on this board. It was suppose to run deep into the nines with 25psi and 400 shot eventually. I guess the dream was never completed. I haven't heard about him until now with your post (it's nice to see he's doing well <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ). I had no idea he bought a convertable and ended up breaking the record in that! That is good news to me as i am a fellow vert owner. He lives about an hour and a half away (Fenton, MI) and i have zero info on this heavy hitter in the LS1 crowd. Could you shed some light for me? Possibly do know his username on the board? I will even give you the number if that helps (972-509-9166). The car has come a long way since it was a street driven six speed. Re: Current supercharged LS1 record... 9.61@139mph The times are correct. Kurt Urban from wheel to wheel was driving the car and Ron was in the pass seat. They had some belt issues and are going to a chain drive. This is a 383 that was built 2 years ago at APE. The chassis has a ton of work into it. They were cutting low 1.3 60ft. I really don't care because when he shows up at North vs South he will only be seeing my tail lights anyhow with him or Bruce driving. LOL! Bring it "Ronnie".

Re: Current supercharged LS1 record... 9.61@139mph My understanding is that Ronnie's car went 9.61 with no passenger. His car is a 382ci, o-ringed headers, T400, small gear, cog drive, and uses the FAST system.
As far as the HPS car goes, I'd like hear from the owner because I am getting different numbers from folks.
