Default What hook better, MT or M&H?

I'm looking for a 26/10+/15" full slick that'll hook as hard as possible. I have M&H cheater slicks now, but I want to maximize my tire's potential. What would you recommend for a 3.73 gear? I'd go with a taller tire, but I'm crossing the traps at only 5800 with a 26 now. (G5X3 114 LSA) Sucks, I'm not even hitting my powerband, but until I get more gear I'll have to deal with it. Thanks.

i'm a big fan of the m&h tire. i've tried et-streets and they were ok. i've tried et-drags and they were better. i still hook way better on the m&h tires,i have the musclecar drags 305/40/16 and the cheeter slick 26x11.5x15. my bud in his ss has et-streets and tried my m&h tires...well....he bought some m&h's for himself. put some gear in your car,you need it.

Yeah, I know. The car's starving for more Rs. On the street at about 6000, it's movin, but at 6400+ it's just sick. Like frickin nitrous or something.

So do you think the drag slicks are the way to go? Are these muslecar drags slicks or radials? I just want the full slick version ya know? Thanks.

Funny. You should be in stand up. I think you'd make more money doing that instead of "street racing".

See you around Bill.

the musclecar drags are a bias ply tire not a radial but it had more tread then the cheeter slick.i pulled the front tires off the ground on the musclecar drags. the cheeter slick has only two lines of tread,it is also a bias ply tire i use it for the track and street racing. they also have a full slick, but the cheeter is the same thing with only two lines. take alook at www.intercotire.com if you are looking for a tire to be on your car all the time then look at drag radials not a bias ply tire. m&h makes drag radials, but if it's oniy a tire you will swap on for racing,i like the cheeter slick over the other to tires. goodluck bro.....and get some gear in that thing

I have been looking at the M&H drag radial but I ordered the 275/40/17 M/T DR . The M&H comes in a 275/50/17 and I wonder which would perform best with my 3.90's .

So are you saying the cheater slicks and the drag slicks are the same compound only with or without the two small lines? I thought the full slicks were a softer compound? Thanks.
