Default Best Drag converter with the spray

Just looking for some opinion on what the best TC for drag racing is. Here is the set up, probably going with a forged stroker and more juice next year.

TREX cam
120-180 shot
4.10 gears but stepping down to 3.55's
2800lb car
200-4r trans
26 or 28" tire, I have both

I am looking to maximize my setup.

I am thinking a YPT4400-4600 but want some other opinions.

I dont think i would go that high. with that cam, you will need a bit more then most, i run that cam in my setup with a TH 400, with a 3,400, but it isnt to agressive out of the hole. id say you need a converter that flashes around 3800-4000 on spray.
If you talk to Yank or Huges, im sure they will give you some great input.

I have a SS3800E right now and it flashes close to that on the spray right now.

That sweet. if it flashes right, then its good, ive seen guys go to big on stall and lose there power right threw the vert. i say with that cam, out or the hole on the spray, you need 3600-4000 flash. my opinion

pick a the stall speed that you want the converter to flash to on both motor and the gun and then call up the converter company of your choice and tell them how much power you are making, weight of the car, gearing and tire and then of course what stall speeds you decided on and you'll get what you need.

I used to have a PY3800E when my car stock internal, 3:42 gears, a little over 3400lbs. The car pulled mid 1.5's on motor. On a 100 dry shot I was pulling traction limited 1.48's .

I have an LT1 car so mine is prob way different but my converter is a 9" J style th400 that stalls to 4500rpms NA and around 54-5500rpms on the spray. When it catches, it catches hard...so hard NA that it kills my 60 ft times but on the spray it is great. When I launch with this verter my tach jumps to 6000 and stays there in each gear for a while then starts climbing to 6200 when I shift into the next gear so it never goes below 6000 going down the track. You will prob want one lower than mine due to your short first gear in the 200-4R. prob somewhere around 4500 on the spray.

I think that should work fine, I believe the "E" is for nitrous if I remember correctly. But a good 3800 nitrous stall is about what you want.
