Default Will I be ok to use .746" shank length open end lugnuts at the strip?

I ordered my Strange 12 bolt with 1/2" x 20 x 3" wheel studs and I have yet to find any chrome open end shank style lugnuts with a shank length of an inch or close. It seems like all the companies only offer .490", .746", and 1.365" shank lengths in the open end lugnuts. Anyhow, the 1.365 are too long and would bottom out before tightening the rim and Im afraid that the .746 is going to be too short. I was thinking that the shorter one would have less contact on the threads and it would bring the shear point further out making it more of a risk of sheering off the stud. I was either going to go with the .746" shank length or get the 1.365" and double up on the washers. The thickness of my Bogarts from the outside of the rim where the washer makes contact to the inside of the rim/spacer, it measures 1.23" and the washer thickness is .127" which is a total of 1.357". That would make the 1.365 shank .049 too long. So I could either grind off some of the shank or double up on the washer. What do you think I should do? Thanks.

What kind of rims do you have? Weld Racing makes a 1.310" shank length in a 0.687" diameter. These are avialable from jegs.
