Weighed my drag seats and brackets!

Weighed my drag seats and brackets! I just weighed my drag seats here at work. 14.52 pounds. I called the fab shop and he weighed the brackets, they are a touch under 3 pounds for the pair. So a seat with the two brackets will come in at 17.5 pounds I'm thinking the stockers are a little over 40lbs each. I'll bring mine in and check them tomorrow. I've attached a pic of the seat on the scales and one of the seat I weighed. Btw, both my seats are 17 inch width.

A 1 1/2 hole saw and about 2hrs and you can lose another 5lbs.

I've only sat in them while they have been in the shop floor and mocked up in the car to build the brackets. I hope that it is finished and I can take a nice long drive in it Saturday. Btw, I drive this car 70 miles round trip to work and back, so I'm hoping they will be pretty comfortable.

My Kirkey seat felt pretty good when I had it out of the car and real good in the car. As for a bracket, I'm 6'4.....I don't need no stinkin' bracket.
I'm debating on doing this when I pull the seats out to lay down the new interior later this month. I need to ask ya a few questions anyway on my suspension

My seat brackets showed up today!! Here's a crappy pic of them. I'm mounting everything up tonight and will post up pics of the finished install. This has the base of the seat setting 1.5 inches above the highest point of the floorboard.
Just bolt seat on (couldn't see the holes??) and than bolt to floor-board?
Looks great. What's the price on these going to be. I like simple things . Once you bolt the bracket and seat together how about a weight of the 2 together.

How did the brackets work for you?
I need to order some drag seats for my super extreme race car that I run a stock seat with.. ???? *sigh*
