Has anybody used collector inserts to quiet their car down?

Default Has anybody used collector inserts to quiet their car down?

Any of you guys use collector inserts? Do they really quiet the car down that much. I'd like to try and pass street night tech with open headers if possible. I was looking at those mesh cone inserts, I think that there called Vortex or something like that. My car really isn't that loud to begin with since it still has stock H/C.

I ran then, I heard no difference berfore/after. Too expensive and no effect...

Yea, I searched around and found someone that said the same thing. I'm not going to try them.

I tried some of the Dynatech inserts once on my old car, and they didn't do squat.

Yep. I tried the Car Chemistry ones (from Summit) on my 383 with dual Borla XR1's (3 inch). Was still race car loud anywhere above 2500 RPM. It was rediculous. If you were trying to meet a dB limit and were 2 over... they might get you there.... maybe
