The normal travel limiter set up consists of a tab welded to the front lower control arm and another one welded to the chassis. These two tabs have a wire cable that goes between them. You can adjust the positon of the wire cable to stop the front suspension from traveling as far to get to an unloaded position. It limits wieght transfer to the rear wheels by getting wieght on the front end a little faster, and helps to keep those wheelie monsters under control . If you look at the picture in my sig you will see them in action. Wheels are up , but they are still in the fender well as if the car was still on the ground. Only problem with limiters is, if you still stand the car up after installing them you will more than likely be buying some new headers and an oil pan .

Sounds like experience talking! How does the car feel going down the track with them - does it stop it from riding high in the front end all the way down the track? I was looking into them a while back and wondering if many F-body's use them. Awesome car!

TTTTT

Took my car out for the first time Friday and the car ended up on the rear bumper Broke the oil pan, transmission and flatened my brand new driver side Kook's header. Any more info from people on the board that use them. I refuse to put wheelie bars on the car. So do these things really work that well?

Call Brian (MadMan). I have read more than one trend on this subject. SUPPOSEDLY, they will hold the wheelie down. I know "next" is having the same problem (wheelies that is ) is going to be putting limiters on soon - I am going to install mine prior to the SS initial spring run - I can't afford the carnage like you had.

they seem to work, just make sure they are set to the same length on each side. we had a car get goofy right after the 60 foot this year and i think part of the problem was the limiters not being set right, but that didn't end up getting proven..
