Default Cutting rear coils to lower?

With the 28x11.5 QTP's and the 9" in the car, the rear sits pretty fargin' high up in the air. With the QA1's on the front already and the ride height set, it's almost Joe Dirt like, haha. To lower the rear a bit, i thought about cutting the coil. Questions are:

1.) how will that affect weight transfer of the spring itself?

2.) how much is 1 coil worth to cut?(not saying i need a full coil)

3.) aftermarket pieces available?
a.) i know there is the eibach prokit/sportline stuff, but is that ok for full out drag racing?

I'd also like to know an answer to this question. I have a 28" tire & QA1's all around with stock springs. My car is basically an all out drag car & it sixty foots awsome but it looks more like a 4X4! I have a set of 1.5"-2" lowering springs in the shed, but I don't think they are good for drag racing because of their spring rate. I was told to put the stock one's back in by the dudes at QA1 (tech line) because they apparently have a better spring rate. My 4X4 looking drag car has a 2" gap in the front & a 3" gap in the rear (from the top of the tire to the bottom of the outer fender wall). I am thinking of droping the car a little bit (about 2"-3" Max.) If I did that I would also need to narrow the rear end and minni tub the car. No big deal, BUT what I am very currious to know is has anyone cut a stock spring (a loop or so) and had good results.
Questions:
1. How much did it affect your weight transfer?
2. Did your 60' or 1/4 get drammatically affected at all?
3. Are your wheelie's any shorter or longer?

Cutting rear springs shouldn't effect 60' at all. If anything, the increased spring rate might help plant the tires, kind of like a stiffer shock does.

My car had the 4x4 look upfront so I cut 1.25 coils off the front springs and it lowered it a little over an inch. If you don't have the rear spring isolators out, just remove those.

Has anyone done just this "Mod" & seen the differences at the track? Does anyone have any numbers? My car wheelies pretty good right now & has solid short times. But I'd like to see some numbers before I start up that grinder. I'd hate to see my wheelies get shorter or even dissapear, just to make the car's stance look better. It could end up costing more $ than it's worth. But like you guy's said, I'm sure it won't dramatically affect anything.

if you cut the springs...get some lower control arm relocation brackets...and the geometry should be the same as when it was at stock height
