What is Race Weight?

Ok, I'm not that dumb, but I've got a question about race weight...

Do you include the driver for race weight or just the car itself?

normally race wieght is the wieght your car is as if there was a scale in the pits. Which means, with you in it. Including your nitrous bottle, your self, whatever gas you try to keep it around for racing and whatever else you race with.

if you were to make a pass and go right on a scale(as an event would be) that is yoru raceweight..its as the car is raced.

What the hell is the internet?!

I consider raceweight the toal weight you are dragging down the track. Everything that is in or on your car while it is being raced is raceweight.

Thanks guys. I was 99.9% sure that's what everyone was considering the race weight, but I wanted to check...

Just like RWHP either uncorrected or SAE... who knows who's saying which number.

So if it matters, I've got a hefty 3780 race weight.

Mine turned out to be alot higher than I had expected too. I was hauling 3610 around. I don't know how my car and I had gotten so portly.

Get that weight down! You'll break less parts and go faster.
