Default Should I do front shocks or torque arm, or something else?

I just ordered a set of LCAs and a Panhard bar. I can only afford 1 more thing right now and wondering what I should get. If I do front shocks ( looking at Qa1 "R" series), should I do springs to or will stock work fine. I don't want to lose all street handling either. Thanks.

The first mod should always be Subframe Connectors.
I highly recommend BMR Tubular/Boxed.

Panhard does very very little for straightline performance.

I'd go torque arm then front shocks/springs

I love my "R" series alot and I think they are worth it on a street car. They are pretty stiff so with my Hypercoil springs and with no front sway bar the car still handles pretty good. I actually usually run the fronts at between 1-3 on the street and have never had an issue or gotten the car out of shape in a corner. My suspension pretty much consist of QA1 shocks, Hypercoil spings, rod end LCA's & PHB and relocation brackets. At the end of this season I finally got the car cutting consistant low 1.60s on Nittos so I think it's working pretty good for what I have (I need a rear sway bar or bag bad though).

BTW: Just saw your sig. If your making that much power I would get the stock torque arm replaced real soon.

Thanks for the input. I've heard rumers of people breaking the stock torque arm but never talked to anyone personally, is it really that common? My car's not lowered and probably never will be, so do I need an adjustable torque arm or will fixed be ok?

I bent my stock torque arm like no other. If you bend it, you will know it! I couldnt hook up on ET Streets @9 psi. Got under the car and got to checking things out...noticed the torque arm was bent. I bought a BMR torque arm and the problem was solved! Ive heard of guys running 10s all day long on a stock torque arm. Its a shot in the dark....kinda like whether the ol famous 10 bolt will hold up or not!

BTW, I was running high 12s when my torque arm bent!

Stock T/A should send you into the 10's. Mine's held up fine. I'd do like the others said and upgrade to the "R" series front Hal's. I've had the regular front Hal's for a few years and very pleased w/ them. Sending mine off this week to get upgraded.
