will 3.73's help me?
will 3.73's help me? I have a 224/cammed full weight 99z. I have a 3200 conveter and 3.23 gears. Do you people think if I installed some 3.73's would it drop my 1/4 time?
A bigger stall will help more
On the gears going from 3.23 to 3.73 didn't help me any, but I still have the stock cam so their may be some gains with the 3.73's and your cam

before my cam and ls6 intake I was running consistent 12.8s with 3.73s and a 3200 stall 60' were 1.9. Put the ls6 intake on and I dropped to 12.3s and 60' 1.7. I guess I finally hit that good combo. Weather conditions were similar on both runs! I think once you start getting into mid 12s, the ls1 intake becomes very restrictive and really holds you back. I would look into that if I were you. Then maybe a bigger stall.
