Default How much hp to trap 115?

My short term goal for the GTO is to trap 115 and run mid 12's. I know the time wont' be stellar for the mph, but i will just have to deal with that until i go all out on the driveline. So about how much rwhp should i shoot for if i want to trap 115 in a 3800 lb car, m12 tranny, 3.46 rear. The setup will consist of speed inc. cold air (or similar setup), Ported TB, Kooks 1 3/4 long tubes with dual cutouts in the flow tubes, and a cam. I am looking at the TSP225 right now, killer torque and should ealisy get me to 380 at the wheels. I know i will be leaving some on the table by not stepping the rear up to a shorter gear, but that's just not something i want to do at this time. Anyone think i will have enough power to meet my trap speed goal? Any input or advice is well appreciates. Thanks.

Why not the TSP torquer cam? It should get you the 380 at the wheels easily, It isn't over the top on the cam selection, and will be a great street cam...

I'm still debating the cam. I have considered the torquer, i'll just need to check out a few more graphs. Low end grunt is really important when trying to get this pig moving.

In my 93 T/A I dynoed 326 RWHP and ran a best of 12.41 @ 109. I now have about 350 RWHP and I expect to be in the 12.1 range.

Judging by your sig you are also able to 60' a lot better than i will be able to in the GTO. The driveline is staying stock (save for a clutch upgrade) until i can drop the coin for the whole BMR package. i am hoping for 12.3's @ 115 on a 2.0 60'. I guess time will tell.

I also know that torque will be important to achieving this goal in such a heavy car. That's one of the reason's i am looking at the TSP 225, i've seen more than one graph of it dynoing close to 400/400 in an fbody. I am comfident that i could get 380/380 in the GTO (IRS, no pulley, conservative tune).
