Default Those that disabled the PS - how did you do it

What did you do to route the fluid without the reservoir? What size pieces did you use?

After removing the pump and reservoir what belt did you use and how did you route the belt without the pump?

Is there a better section for this question?

Not sure I follow. I am guessing to take the hoses that come out of the rack to the reservoir and run them together. If that is correct then anybody know what is the size of those fittings so I can make up a short loop hose?

And what about the belt now that the pump is gone? It is not clear how it will be routed without the pump.

OK, I got better on the search and read most of the posts. I still am looking for a size on the connectors so I can make a loop and give the !PS a try.

From what I read I need a 51 inch belt and I need to take one alternator bolt off to reroute the belt.

Did I get this right? Any ideas on the size of those fittings?

I *think* I know what connectors are needed. I'm ordering them later this week to verify.

If they work...I'll post up the results

I got the sizes - at least I think I do. The size of the fitting that go into the rack from the resevoir or cooler is -6 16 mm. So I got (2) -6 16 mm -1.5 Power Steering connections that go into the rack and then (2) -6 45 degree fittings that connect to the power steering connector and then to the hose.

Fireball, is this what you ordered?

if you don't intend to put it back on all you have to do is cut the factory hard lines down by the rack and then loop them together with some 3/8" hose and a couple of clamps.

OK, let me clarify (and another reason to be careful on what you read on the Internet), the top one is a 16 MM. I have not gotten to the bottom on yet. I will post when I know for sure and I should have waited until I had the job done before posting.

Thanks for bringing this out Fireball.
