Default Radiator for a drag car, size question

Here is the deal. Right now my car is street driven and I have a large radiator that does a good job of keeping the car at good temps no matter how hot is is or if I am sitting still as long as the fan is running. I am making the car a drag only car and I would like to free up some space in the engine bay and I can do that if I use a shorter radiator because I can then move it forward by about 6-8 inches. The question is will a radiator that is 6 inches shorter (About the size of a large intercooler) still have the capacity to keep the car cool at the track and for short drives around the track.

I have a 160° thermostat and have turned the fans on earlier with edit so will it work? Is the car gonna over heat? I am planning a forged stroker on the juice later will it still be ok?

I have seen guys basically running no radiator at the track but they are also running alcohol too which I wont do.

Anyone?
