Default Should I get solid motor mounts?

I have a dent in my header where it was hitting my BMR K-Member. It was close but I didnt think my motor was twisting that much on hard launch with abundant traction at the track. It was so now what? I'm not doing the old-school short piece of chain trick. Can I buy solid mounts from anywhere?? I have been to BMR and Spohn etc, no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Tom

You should try a set of poly mounts first. Afterward, if you feel there's too much movement under there with poly mounts, both Spohn and MADMAN make solid mounts. If you have access to a welder, they're pretty simple to make. Just two 3/16" plates and 1-1/4" OD .120" wall tubing with the factory pedistals and mounts being your templates. That'd save you the $130-150...

you'd also need to run a poly trans mount if you're not already. I think i saw some on racenet. i cant recall their website. dont know if they are sponsors or not so i cant link it.

I already have the trans mount, I figured that was enough since the motor just sat there rigid when I did my clutch and drill mod. Thanks, Tom

Torkman- I run solids and love them. They save ton of weight. I have my knock sensors deleted from my computer and absolutely no problems thus far. They actually take up alot less space. I'm running the pedastal mounts from spohn. Check out my webshots link for pics in sig!
