Question Jegster Roll-Bar 4pt????

I been lookin at the 4Pt roll bar from jegs, what are your thoughts on this product and can it be converted to bolt-in? How does the rear section of the cage go?? Do you have to cut the holes in your speaker screens??

budget but I notice jegs only makes a 8pt, no 6pt. What are the requirments to run a Ttop car that "may" be 11.99 or faster for a 1/4 track, maybe thats what i should have asked in the 1st place

You do not need a cage at an NHRA sanction track for your goals. If you plan to run 11.49 or quicker, then a Jeg's kit is fine. We have the 10-point kit in our Z28, the rear posts go to your hatch area, not the speaker locations. You could purchase an 8-point and not use the center two post that go to the trans tunnel.

So just remove the two underneath the center section? This kit comes completely unassembled? and the parts that go to the rear hatch area bolt/weld to the flat panel? If so seems like a real good price, I was looking at Wolfcraft but there $$$. I plan on doing a rear end in the future so If I can drive worth a damn on the spray. I am just trying to prepare for it ahead of time

Can't compare a Jegs to a Wolfe IMO. The Jegs rollbar will require fitting, notching, cutting, and welding. A Wolfe rollbar is more money, but will fit better, is available in either a bolt in or a hold and weld pre notched rollbar. Another option is S+W racecars, they offer a bolt in rollbar.

If you're really concerned about weight (and accessibility), just install the bar as a 5-point (leaving off the passenger side doorbar).

Most of my buddies have their cars set up that way, and it does make a lot of sense.
