Default Moroso battery box ?

I am looking to relocate the battery on my 94Z to the rear and was considering the Moroso blue battery box.

Will it fit in the pass side spare tire well?

make sure its sealed and vented or it still won't pass tech(if they are following the rules anyway). i don' think any of those plastic ones will pass.

The Moroso is the only one that is certified as far as I know. I have one, and I mounted it in the middle of the trunk. It's too big to put in the fender area, unless you get pretty creative.

I used the Summit Aluminum box. Should pass tech no problem. And that bracket is the only thing supporting it. Works well.

Does anybody know if a drycell battery requires an enclosed/exterior vented box?

They don't technically, but NHRA requires them to anyways. Supposedly they're trying to change that, but as far as I know the rule applies to all batteries.

Yes, it's vented.

The box doesn't say NHRA/IHRA approved, but it will be fine. They have specifications in the rules about what thickness metal is required, and this box meets all the requirements.

You have a sealed trunk. Any battery can be run back there.

In a hatchback you have to have a rear firewall or a box.
