RIP Papa Norm (US41) It's been posted on a few boards that Papa Norm, aka Norm Nevinger, died of a heart attack. Papa Norm was the owner and founder of US41 Dragway in Morocco, Indiana. He first opened the track in 1983.
Having rented US41 a number of times since 1999, I had the distinct pleasure of talking to him many times.
I'd like to take this opportunity to express my condolences to his family including his daughter Tamara who I have also talked to on a number of occasions.

Very sad news. I've talked to him several times as well...was a very nice guy. I have raced at US41 many times and have always enjoyed it.

thats horrible! that track was my favorite due to the staff and that nice feeling you got on thoes days of only a few cars at the track when you felt almost like family and they were doin the job because they loved it, not because its a job. he will be missed.
