Is this helmet good enough to pass tech at my track

. . its nhra. . . ANd they kicked me out until i ran with a helmet so I am just looking for any cheap helmet that will pass tech. . . DOes anyone know wehre I can find a cheaper one?

 

its rated snell m2000 so yea it should pass, that's what mine is and it passes no problem. check ebay, i picked my hemet up there for 50 bucks, new.

 

cheap helmet??? this is your head were talking about so dont go to cheap. you never know what might happen.

 

Yeah i know i shoudnt go with something really cheap.. But i just want something temporary while i am in the 13's . . .. i dont want to spend a grand on a simpson helmet .

 

as mentioned above, as long as it is snell 95 or better, you're in. You can buy brand new helmets for around $100-$150 bucks open or closed face from most motorcycle and/or speed shops, and check out jegs/summit as well. If you want the best, simpson and bell are about $250 and up.

big difference b/w a cheap helmut and a helmut on sale. i dont see the reason to spend big bucks if you dont have to.
