True, you don't see Warren Johnson shifting just once...

Yeah but you dont see Tony Schumaker shifting at all!!!

You cant compare pro full out race cars to anything we drive. Those guys in Pro Stock like WJ or Greg Anderson have to squeeze every .0001 out of their cars so they try and keep a couple hundred rpm interval but at the same time staying within their strict rules.

Top Fuel cars have extremely exotic and expensive multi-disc clutch systems that essentially do the "shifting" automatically, without the help of a shift lever. If we could study the data from their computers, the power curve would probably look like a ~10-speed.

Just a tiny bit more torque than most...yours sounds like it has a CVT not a glide once you launch! Spool, spool, let go, whoosh, time slip please, thank you.

Have you thought about using a Liberty or a G-Force?

Guess I never realized Bickel was in MO. They're up by St. Louis. I'm about 4 hrs away from me.

Yep, thats just outside (northwest) of StL. I noticed they have good prices on lots of stuff including double adjustable shocks. I'm going to order some soon from them.

We bought the Firebird you see in my sig as basically an abandoned and rundown roller, and have restored it with parts from Bickel. He is definitely a race car guy.

King, I assumed you figured out that, due to the rain in Houston, we decided to test in vegas? We ran 7.31 @ 187 but had to get out of a bunch of runs and never really got the 4 link and front shocks setup correctly. We plan to race in Division 4 Top Sportsman, which includes Houston, and we look forward to meeting you.

The rain ended up going away for the weekend. We had some decent weather. I think the Pro Stock guys were going just over 206 MPH. There was some very good racing. It's awesome to see those guys run.

Shoot me a PM when you're coming to Houston and I'll meet you guys out there. Will you be here for the National Event in April as well?

It was pretty chilly outside. I think the temperatures were around 60 degrees. The only downside to the weekend was that the sun never really came out. Too many clouds.

Looking forward to seeing that car in person.

I've got a race glide and two converters for a high horsepower BBC that I will be happy to sell at a good price. Any buyers out there?
