so how does it switch from stock-style to 4-link. I see the 4 in there now with a pretty narrow rear. Do you swap rear-ends as well? Maybe with a different x-member over the axle to hold the shocks and panhard?

The Bull
The hood likes like one that Joe VanOverbeek makes, same one that APE has on their car as well as several other cars. I believe VFN makes one similar.
The axle converts to stock suspension if you simply use the factory LCA mounts that are still in the car combined with a factory type axle. Simple swap. Or if you were able to build an axle with both mounts on it. However, if you didn't have to contend with some of the factory brackets you could bring the tire in a little further with a separate axle. The only negative issue is that you can't run as much tire underneath the car with the 4 link as you will still be limited to the extent that the fender and the inner frame rail will let you in. Nothing a simple sawzall can't solve in the future.

The frame rails need to be there for LS1 tech series racing. The Tech class is the fast power adder class that the Ohio boys and that Harlan guy run. The car will be racing at our local track in 10.5 outlaw. Between Martin Michigan and Milan there are 2 races per month, I'm sure it will be at some of them. The car is going to meet NHRA rules for faster than 8.50, that is what dictates the tube's and there location.
