Default 15" drag wheels with Skinnies ?

Right now I am running ZR1's (17 X 11 with 315 DR's in the rear and 17 X 9.5 wheels up front) my question is, all things being equal in terms of traction etc how much ET could I pick up just by having less rotating weight on the rears and skinnies up front? Would it be noticable?

Umm...gerneral rule of thumb is about a .1 for every 100lbs of sprug wieght(dead/non rotational wieght). We are talking unsprung/roatational wieght and the effect of this I believe is around 1.7-2.0 more than sprung from what I have read. It can get kind of technical because the location of the wieght can come into play. From what I have read if most of the wieght is at the center of the mass it will not affect the car as much.

It should be worth the money though. A pair of 15x3.5 Prostars with a 165R, spacers, and lugs wieght almost exactly 50lbs. A pair of 15x10s with a 275/50/15 M/T radial is about 84lbs. I asume you fronts are close to 100lbs total and probably 110+lbs in the rear. I asume that you would gain .1 or better.

Sweet, I imagine a good amount of your gain came from better 60's? I pulled my hood one day and found that the car was much easier to get out of the hole with only sub par prep. My MPH went to **** though.

When I switch from running ET Streets and stock front tires and wheels to ET Streets and skinnies I cut my 1/4 time by .15.
