What's the highest stall you would go with on a bolt on only car?

I dropped almost .5 with my Pro Torque 2800 along with adding a cut out as well of course, so the old converter didn't really do as much as I've given it credit for in the past I think.
True, good points, thanks.

Now what about STR on the TP4000/4200/4400 etc, I think Yank offers like a 2.2 and a 2.5 or something, I'm assuming the 2.5 (or higher) maybe?

What if you have PT4400 and decide to add a little spray like 100 to 200 shot, will it still work?

If youre wanting an ultimate naturally aspirated setup, you better think much higher than a 3.73. A 4.10 with a 26" slick would be the minimum/starting point. Thats what most setups are. You have to decide whether you want this car to be strip/street or strip only.

STRICTLY street/strip, car will only see the track maybe 5-8 times a year, 3-5 passes per visit. And I will remain on 16" drag radials only as well.
My main focus is still spirited street driving and when I drive it I'm normally traveling over 60 miles away and Amoco premium is over $2.15 a gallon here right now.
I think I'd better stay away from the 4400s LOL.

I don't think you'd want to spray higher than even a 75 shot with a stall that high, forget a 200 shot.

Dont spray a TP4400...
TP4000/4200 maybe a 100 max....

Go 2.5 STR if u go Yank TP4200 otherwise the VIG3600 is 2.36 which is still very good.
I loved the VIG 3600 Marc,it worked well for me....But I like the Yank just a bit better..

Yeah I think that might be the one, or maybe just up it a little bit too 3800 (ya know for that little extra ) if they sell it that way, still an outside chance I will have 3.73s someday too.
Is #7 pump the only way that one comes or does it have to be requested/extra cost etc?

Look at my "mod/et" data in this section and you'll see what the PT line of converters will do over the Vig 3600. Night and day even running well into the 11's with a bolt-on car. Although the #7 pump is a VERY good converter, the Yank is on a higher level. Good luck!

I've had 5 different verters in my car all Yanks and VIGI's...
My Current Yank TP4200 is almost 96 percent efficient taking my trap rpm and using math along with tire hieght and rpm,say what u want buddy but IMO a 96% efficient converter is pretty darn good especially when take into account its a loose 4200.

YANKS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a Yank PT4400 in my car now and to be honest I'm not impressed. The TCI 4400 I had in there before hit harder and 60' better. I'm going to give the Yank one more try and if it doesn't do any better the TCI is going back in. I'm not saying any brand is better than the others I just know which one works better in my car
