Why do people with blowers think its a fair race as long as you run NA? That sounds like the dumb *** cobra owners around here. They will not race if you have a power adder but its ok if they do. Look you have an auto so you have an advantage but you said you werent sure which cam you will have. That tells me you dont have this combo together yet so you dont even know how it will run. If it were me i would go w/ a 4000 stall and shorten the race to 1/8 mile. Then tell him to stack his fu@##@ money and he can get it. If you race the 1/4 that lower will be coming on the other end so i think you MIGHT need a little juice. Good luck

agreed, if allan is building it, its gonna haul haha. is it a SR motor? i dont know that you have it only because a 6 speed with a blower will MPH like crazy, even if it sucks out the hole. since you know what he runs, do you not know what you run? that would kinda determine the outcome of the race, would it not?

unless you have someone holding your money at the starting line id tell the guy to screw off.... so many outside factors could happen besides actually racing.....
i say no.... race im for a 100$ or loser buys dinner.... more likely for him to pay....

why the hell is a guy with a D1 blown mn6 car making excuses and calling the shots? screw him if he wont let you run power adder to power adder. pretty lame to me IMO. if he wont run you on the jug, sounds like he is chickening out.
btw, if he just upped the bet to 2K, he sounds VERY confident. unless your car is VERY light, its gonna be tough to make the power n/a to run him. gonna have to look for mid to high 1.4 60' to keep him from pulling you.

Others here have also advised that I will need a higher stall than 3800 to run the necessary 60 ft time.
I will know more when I have some times on my car.

You've been pretty hard on us in the past for discussing our Firebird here. But we can agree that my new 347 is not "expensive" by most comparisons. For example, one of the Ray Franks 12 degree heads on my 622 cost more.
Back on topic: I think my SS will beat the Z. If it doesn't, it's Allan's fault. Afterall, I'm in denial. joking

the race will be close if he can 60 anywhere near yours,he should have atleast 475 rwhp so he will definitely be pulling on top.i'd bet on him running 11.0s at time of race so shoot for atleast that. just my .02 though.anyhoo,good luck.
Definately make sure he is on pump gas.. I think even on stock suspension he is going to 60' well with those dr's.. especially if they are large, and the track is prepped well.. You will need to lose some weight to have the advantage in this situation, I'm afraid.. at least temporarily.

He's now seen my new SS sig (which reflects what Allan is currently doing to the motor) and figures I might make 440rwhp, while he has dyno'd at 480. I'll wait until it's tested before deciding what to do, but there is way he will race me heads-up if I have the spray on.
