Wheel studs sheard off last Friday night! Help!!!!!
I was driving home last friday at about 1 am doing 70mph on I10. For no reason what so ever i fell a jerk and the rear passenger tire wobbling. I turn to the guy riding with me and ask if he feels it. before he could give an answer the rear end drops down as the entire wheel falls off. He looks out the window and see sparks and were both freakin out. miraculously i crossed 3 lanes of traffic and pulled over to the feader. the wheel somehow stays in the wheel well. the drum was rest on the inside of the wheel and was creating sparks.
Ill post pics when i get home but for now iv got a few question:
1)Can i replace the 7/16" studs that were in the alxe before with 5/8" and how do i go about doing this?
2)Will the 5/8" studs work with my prostars?
3)Do i need a new axle to run the 5/8" studs?
4)If i cant balance the wheel and need to buy a new one would it be ok to use the old wheel for a set of slicks?
Thanks
Kyle

It's for the coolant tubes that are under the intake manifold. You had to weld on a fitting for my braided steam lines for me. Im installing a ls6 intake so i have to install a new one.
