Shoulda sprung for these:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

In 285/70/15 they are almost 31", and definately more of a "street looking" tire. Corvettes had them for a number of years, although in the 27" size.

You just need the reflective GIT-R-DUN sticker in the back window to finish that look out.

Hoosier makes a "Pro-Street" radial, kinda looks like a sprint car tire, they are made in a 31x12, they may work.

That car with the mud tires is funny as hell. Does that wheel and tire package come with hair extensions AKA MULLET and a Lynrd Skynrd CD? If ya "buy it now"?

Hmmm $209.52 shipped plus mounting and balancing OR $40 mounted and balanced for the used muddin tires. I don't care one bit how it looks and the spool is going to tear the daily drivin tires up anyways so i gotr the cheapest i could find.

Get off his ***, at least it allows him to drive the damn thing. I'll admit it might look a little goofy going down the road, but at least it's going down the road.

Thanks man. Yeah everyone tells me to buy a beater, but i like driving my car everyday.I'de rather spend the 2 grand, that a beater would cost, on gas. i love the looks i get when i get on it a little and it sounds like a damn prostock car comin down the street.
That and theres somethin kool about driving to the track, swappin rear tires, whoopin some ***, puttin the street tires back on and drivin home.

At some point, people need to simply realize that a race car, is a race car.

I'm not ready and i don't think my car is fast enuff to put it on a trailer and only drive it twice a month. wheres the fun in that? Maybe all the big $$$ guys can afford to have two F bodies, one for street and one for track. But right now i have bigger things to save my $$$ for the next year or two.(ie a wedding and a house)

Why does it sound like a prostock car? Isn't it "stock internal"

If it "sounds like a damn prostock car comin down the street" has a 5300 stall and tin canned its a friggen race car. Period. I dont care how many fuggin miles you drive it a week, you just drive your racecar on the street. And in the mud from the looks of those tires

Any car with open headers sounds like a prostock car.

oh and while im thinking about it, there were cars on the Powertour alot wilder and with more power than his driving on the street...
long hauling
sbc with a 8-71 and lenco tranny in a 65 chevy........ caged etc, street car.

when you can't drive it 30 miles without filling up or overheating its a drag car.
