that will fit under an F-body without cutting. I dont want to waste my money on 27 if they wont get the job done and would rather find a 28 that will fit...
Largest and widest would have to be the MT 325 50 15, on a 10" rim with 6.5" BS. You'll have to hammer a little on the front inner well but mine fit good with little room to spare. Now, they do stick out a little, but at the top of the fender they only stick out about a 1/2 inch. Because they are a DR, there is little or no side to side flex so no rubbing at all and I've got about 2-300 miles on them and about 10 passes.
Tektrans... could you post a pic when you get a chance of your car with the tires on... and a pic of what you had to massage too if possible? The 26 x 11.5 e.t. streets I have now will be done this season.. and you're running the tire I wanted to go to. Thanks!
I'll try to get a pic by the weekend. I had my fenders worked a bit to fit the 28 10.5 15w's so I think it makes the MT's look "right" but it may look a little tight with the stock fenderwells. I'll try to get something up for ya.
heres a few pics of the 325's, i had a 5/16 spacer then and stock brakes, now they sit tucked in about another 1/2 inch with strange brakes and no spacer. they look awsome.
I'm intrested in a pic of the wheel well where the banging was needed.... if anyone has one. I wanna mount the tires on the 15 x 9.75 bogarts I have now... there's a spacer welded onto the back side of the rim, but that's the way that they are sold so that there is no clearance problems around the stock brakes ( I'm still on those, will be for a while ) but I'm not sure what the back spacing is. Hopefully there won't be too much clearancing needed... I really don't wanna cut the outer fender's at all if possible. If I have to hit the inner part in a spot... I can live with that, but cutting the outer.. I really don't wanna do that. I was hoping that these, being a radial wouldn't "grow", and the clearance problems wouldn't exist, as the exansion should be minimum. the 26 x 11.5 I have now clear fine, never hit anywhere. Another option I was looking at was the hoosier QTP 27 x 10.5, that is the next best thing... but I wanted to go to a radials ( skinny front radial too ), so I could drive around on them when I wanted to, and not have the car handle like a total bag. Not to mention... if I put the stock wheels and tires back on for a trip of any real lenth, the cut up wheel wells look kinda ghetto with a little tire in there.

I'll try and get that pic out but the banging was minimal.
Very little.
Now that's if you have a 6.5 BS or less. If you've got a 7, 7.5 BS you're gonna have to do some cutting and welding to get them to fit.
The radials do not grow as much so I wouldn't worry about the outer fenderwells.
Fireball had a great thread with detailed pics of the cutting and welding needed to fit 28 15 10.5 w's with a 7.5 in BS a couple months back, maybe do
a search to check out what's needed.
The MT 325 50 15's are just about identical in height and width of those
10.5w's that Fireball is using. The difference is that the 10.5w's grow alot more and have more side to side movement (sway) so they require more room.
I read that post that fireball did.. alot of work for sure. I'm not sure what the backspacing is on the bogarts I have is, but I'm sure that if Steve from SJM sees this, then he'll be able to post up and let me know
My question is more or less along the same lines. I'd like to get a set of ET Streets put on a pair of salad shooters... I'm not too familiar with the way drag tires are sized. I've heard that a 26" tall tire fits fine. Do they make a 27"? What kind of size would work best on a 16x8 wheel?
Rodney, in those pics, the rims/tires are 15x10/7.5 bkspc, no spacers, stock length rearend?
rim size is correct, but that was stock brakes so i had spacers, now i have strange brakes which have thinner rotors and no spacers also so they moved in another half inch. yea, that is stock width rear

Do a search under fireball username, he posted up all his progress pics which I plan to use a sort of template.
