Default WHy the hell cant I hook??

Went to the track last night with my new 15X10 Prostars wrapped in 275/60/15 ET Drag radials. After 7 passes finally cut a 1.76 60 ft. Running 10 psi amd heating the hell out of em. That was launching at 3 grand and easing into it. Suspension includes Lakewood 50/50 drag shocks, Lackwood LCAs, BMR SFCs, S&W torqu arm, Spohn panhard rod, airbag, and the sway bars deleated. Running a 4:30 gear in a 9 inch. Any suggestions? Also the pinion angle in set at -3degrees

That dosen't sound right. I have my pinion agle set at -1 with stock shocks and struts and cut anywhere from a best of 1.56 to a worst of 1.64 with a 26" ET street. I would expect much better 60ft. times. Are you pulling out of the water after you get them wet to do your burnout? I have seen a ton of people heat the tires in the water---wrong thing todo. Short soin in water then pull up 5 feet and do a John Force burnout.

Another possible problem is that I'm pretty sure those tires are recommended for a 15x8 inch rim not a 15x10. I have the 325's and I've gotten a 1.55 60 out of mine.

Summit recomends a 8 or 10 inch wheel for this tire. I tried both on the water deal. First few I would pull completely out of the water and try it. last couple I would sit at the very edge of the water and heat em up. Like you said It doesnt sound right. With a good 5K launch it will spend all through first

I've been a number of 1.4 60ft's on the same tire on a 15x10 rim. I've also never ran mine below 20psi.

I would suggest upping the air pressure in the tires. Also, if I'm reading your post correctly.. you don't have a rear sway bar. IMO that will adversly effect your launch too.

With an Manual car the 60ft is all about technic. You need to talk to the fast M6 guys and find out how they launch there cars.

i would also agree that tire pressure is way to low.

I had serious issues with hook and wheelhop until I installed spohn LCA relocation brackets.I hooked up hard enough at a 5.5K dump to pretzel an edelbrock T/A and scatter a driveshaft.I was gunshy last weekend and was letting it go at 3K and bogging to low 1.8's.I need to man up and try a few 6K's for a high 11.Those brackets really drill the tires into the ground.

I was dumping @ 5k with the stock rear/ gear and size BFG DRs and dead hooking a couple of times but only pulled a 1.86 best due to bogging with the high gear. OK. So Ill round up some LCA relo brackets(something I was gonna do whith the rear install anyways but didnt get a chance) put the rear sway bar back on and put about 20 psi in the tires. I made quite a few passes @ 20 psi and cut numerous 2.0s.

If your cutting 2.0 60ft's on MT drag radials... tires are not your problem.
