What causes slicks spinning on rims and how do you know?

Default What causes slicks spinning on rims and how do you know?

Too much air, too little air, no preload, launching - what causes them to spin on the rim. Also, do you know its happening. I mean, can you feel it?

most of the racers paint a white stripe/chalk on the rim and tire as one line. if the rim is slipping in the tire, when you go to check it out after your pass, the marks won't be lined up anymore

use shoe polish. same thing as you put your number on the window/glass.

i keep a shoe polish line on my rim/tire for every track trip to keep an eye on that.

my slicks are screwed to the rim so haven't had problems but just in case.

Run more air pressure and put screws in.....
