Just save and get drag Radials about $175 a pop or find some nice used ones! Drag Radials + good launch = better times........glad I passed first grade math!

dr will help your 60' and overall time alot, which do you guys have? I have BFG DR's, they work pretty good. My buddy has Nitto's and he likes his as well. Another friend of mine has MT ET Streets on a Mustang, like he needs em, and loves his but he loves all his mods...lol.

dr's, u still have to be careful, you can break a rear with a good launch on drag radial, but i forgot if you said somethign about a 12 bolt or what not

I don't have one, but if mine breaks I will...I go by the old saying, "if ain't broke, don't fix it" so I waited to brake something...now I have.

Well on drag radials, I do a burnout and go stage. Bring rpms to 4000 and when tree drops, dump clutch and when the car just starts to grab traction I give it the gas. Generally I pull 1.70's with some 1.6's and some 1.75's. That depends alot on the track.

if so....

drive around the water box(under NO circumstances should ANYONE on street tires burnout in the water box, so STAY OUT!!! sorry pet peev)
once around it back up to just in front of it, and spin your tires for 1-2 secs... note i did not say burnout... your doing this just to clean your tires off , not to heat them up...
pull up to the staging lights and find the groove(that is the slightly impressed lines on the asphalt that the bigboys have left) this is the stickiest part of the track.
stage ONE light at a time (this means dont pull up real fast and light both staging lights, it pisses the other driver off and is bad form)

once staged bring your rpms up to 2000-2500 rpms(this part varys from track to track)

forget the lights dropping... if you are asking this question then dont worry about your reaction time... it will just *** up your launch technic...( you can work on your reaction time after you master your launch)

when you are ready, perform a CLUTCH ROLL... this is quickly pulling your leg off the clutch(not side steping it which is known as a dump) at about the same speed as your left leg is coming up, send your right foot for the floorboard. practice practice practice.... doing this everytime you will find your cars sweet spot....

run about 20 PSI on street tires

this netted me a 1.90 60' on bone stock tires
i think the retarded track officials in md should read this because it is almost impossible to drive around the water box at a couple of these tracks...********.. but yea, street tire + water box bad. damn treads likes to hold the water so it ***** up the rest of the track.

in DR's, I'll run about 18-22 depending...but I don't use them often w/10 bolt...streets, 24-28, WS6 is probably about right but it will depend on weather/track to get it hooking right.
