MT ET street 26 x10.5 or 26 x 11.5 on 16"
Hey guys. I have some 16" 5 star firebird wheels laying around. They're 16 x 8's.
Which tire would be ideal for track use? What would the difference in RPM's be or what gear I'd be in at the end of the 1/4 mi?
M6
4.10's
bolt ons
Cam
Mickey Thompson ET Street, 26 x 10.5 x 16
Mickey Thompson ET Street, 26 x 11.5 x 16
Any/all help is greatly appreciated.

you will be in 4th with either tire. I have always done better on the 26x11.5x16's. The 26x10.5 is ok for lower hp cars but I always did better on the 11.5's since I put the heads and cam.
On bolt ons., Unless you are leaving above 5000rpms, I always was quicker on Nittos.

As he said you will be at the same rpm either way, they are the same size as far as that is concerned. Only difference is the extra inch of width. Do you have a new rear end? Without one you shouldn't really use either since you have a manual.
10.5" et street should offer a lot of traction.
