I'm wanting to see if a 1.4X is possible. I pulled a 1.74 on a slipping clutch and the front tires were 9.5" wide, and running on ET streets. This is why I am asking.

2.15 - that was stock w/street tires and doing absolutely nothing to lighten the load. This was also my first trip to the strip & I'm an M6 gal, not guy.

So in reality with a good clutch (I have the Textrailia clutch now) launching at 5500 RPM's, Weld drag lites 15x10 and 15x4, on M/T ET Drags, and finally getting it tuned, I could very well get a 1.4 60'. I have a Moser 9" with 3:70 gears, and the car weighs roughly 3600 lbs. I have a LG Motorsports TA, Kenny Brown LCAs, and Comp. Engineering 3-way adjustable shocks on the rear. I'm debating on getting a air bag for the RR.

Later I will spray a 175 shot out of the hole.

I do know one person who launched at 1.6 and the clutch won't last long IMO, but wasn't on streets either!

I'm thinking 1.4Xs will be asking for alot with that weight and gear combo IMHO. I've gotten a couple 1.47-1.49s with great air, 4.56s, 28 12.50 ET Streets and 3100# race weight. Also I'm only making 445 RWHP 400 RWTQ. The 175 shot might make it happen if you can stick it to the track.

Good luck to ya, Tom

I've gone 1.43 but It blows out the moser 12 bolt posi every other trip to the track. This is in a full weight street car so it's heavy!!!!!!

Thats with 600rwhp leaving on the bottle. Guess its time for a spool. A 12 bolt posi won't hold many 1.4's... Trust me

I went 1.44 60ft in a full weighted FRC vet with 26/10.5/16 ET streets. (heads, cam, 200 dry shot, stock bottom end.......3.90 gears in built IRS)

I went 1.47 60ft in my full weighted SS with 26/10.5/16 ET streets. (Cam only with 150 wet TNT kit.......4.10 gears Moser 12bolt)

Those are both on DOT tires. It is pretty easy if you find the sweet spot. LOL Both are leaving right off the bottle.

Both cars I leave around 4-5K RPM because that is where all the torque is at. You need to find your peak torque and then utalize it.
