Default Best shocks for drag racing

Just what the title says. What shocks are best for drag racing? I'm trying to get my car to launch better. I really don't care about handling, I just want to launch better. I just replaced the stock torque arm with the BMR adjustable and that helped quite abit. I'm looking at the shocks now. They are currently a deCarbon or something like that. Getting ready to be in de trash can if you know what I mean...

Anyway......what are my options??

1.96 was the best 60' time I could get. I'm running M/T ET Streets 26X11.50-16 w/ 13 psi tire pressure. I was either spinning too much or bogging. Since then I've installed a line lock so I can get a better burnout. Also just installed the tranny mounted BMR adjustable torque arm. I haven't had it to the track yet since installing the torque arm and the line lock. I'm just wondering if I should go ahead and address the shocks.

I've heard the HAL QA1's are good. Also Koni and Bilsteins.

Thanks for any input.

QA1's aren't the best but can take you pretty far. I have cut 1.31's on them and am looking to go even quicker.

Make sure you get the R series for the fronts if you go with QA1's. With the R series up front and QA1's all around my car is EXTREMELY safe in the 1/4 mile trapping at 130. The car drives very straight and smooth. No bouncing or floating at all.

1.96 60' on ET streets? You have an auto or stick and sounds to me like your track really sucks. What kind of power is your car putting down?

Our track sucks alot of nights out but I've gotten a few 1.78's on Nitto drag radials.

Hal's are good, most peeps tend to go with those due to price. I know they have a new one out that is very expensive.

Putting down 445 at the wheels. The track does suck. I wasn't getting a very good burnout either. That was before I installed the line lock. I'll take it out to HRP next time and see how it does...

AFCO is the best but alittle more pricey.........But if you are trying for some serious numbers then it is well worth it to invest in the suspension right the first time.

QA1's are still te best bang for the buck in my opinion.. unless you are trying to get every little tenth.. but i still think the price is right on those QA1's and there are a ton of good write ups on them! my opinion though! good luck
