Rodney,
I thought you were running Super Stock? That trans puts you out of the class.

The old Quick Stock rules outlawed pro-shifted trannies, and th400/th350 (Thunder). Thats prob. what your thinking of.

The Super Stock rules allow any production manual/automatic transmission.

Allowing them is fine but like any other racing organization there should be a weight penalty.

Why should there be a weight penalty?
There is not one for a TH350/400 or a glide.

Gee I don't know?...maybe more RWHP.
Follow the NMRA at all or Fun Ford. ALL racing organizations with heads up classes have a weight penalty for manuals.
If the guy can drive (like most in this class) a car with equal motor will be faster with a manual.

Exactly why I will be running one.
They allow them with no weight penalty in THIS class.

I don't follow NMRA or Fun Ford. I do know they have been Very Successfull.

Not ALL Heads Up classes give a weight penalty for a manual.
An Aftermarket Clutchlesss Manual is a different story.

No, you get a penalty...you have to put Bill in the trunk.
Better yet I think he likes being under your dash.

It's Dyno tuned...just need to hit the track. I was going yesterday until my Tach took a ****. I was able to get in on a rental at 66 but oh well. Hopefully this weekend. I think my race weight is about 3100 - 3200.

You didn't just ask me for the hit , did you? I must have read that wrong.

I think you have more fuel going to one injector than I have for my ENTIRE motor.lol

well, I don't DD it, but cruising with it blows. it's VERY noisey and makes me very leary to shift into 2,3 or 4 just cruising. I usually go 1-5 or 2-5 for that reason.

i never realized how noisy my proshifted trans was until the other day when i had it on the dyno, we were videoing the pulls and over the exhaust (headers with bullets bolted on)you can hear the clunking into each gear. i love daily driving mine though...very easy.
