Default Why only a 13.8?!?!

my A4 z28 camaro is running like a dog. it has, slp coldair, slp lid, b&m shift kit, and magnaflow catback and all i can hit is a 13.8!!! here is my time slip .....

60ft- 2.090
330ft- 5.886
1/8 - 8.955
mph - 80.92
1000 - 11.586
1/4 - 13.822
mph - 101.00

the mph seems really low compared to other ls1's. i tried lowering air pressure to 25 lbs and hit same thing. it was at route 66 in joliet il last night. if any one could help me it would be great. it feels sooo slow its not even funny!! im pisted

Yeah, low mph, should be around 105. Lots of reasons, gear/ tire combo? traction?, shift rpm? tcs on or off?, any added weight to the car? amount of gas in tank? where do you live?, it's been hot as hell around here.

Do a tune up on the car, then run it. Check the weather as well. Dont bring a car to the track that is running on a bad tune up or none at all and then wonder why its slow, you'll just get paranoid that something is seriously wrong instead of knowing that you can rule out all of the small stuff. I know, I've succumbed to that with my old Notchback 5.0, and I sold it for the same reason.

The heat and humidity is a big factor. Since your car is basically Stock, that's a very respectable time to run in mid-July.

i live in joliet illinois and stock ls1's like mine were running a 13.6 all day. in hook through out the run and in 3rd i have a bad vibration as if there is something on my back tire like a clump of mud ever since some ******* shop rebuilt my trans 2x's blew 6 weeks after they rebuit it then they did it again and it feels like crap. i live in joliet illinois ran the car at route 66 so hooking up is no issue. was about 96 all day. i guess i can change plugs, wires, oil, and try to fix thAT vibration some how.

first update your info to display your location, next make a sign with all your mods. This will help all of us to help you better cause your location could mean a difference of 1 second in the 1/4 because of altitude as well as heat and humidity.
Ok you said your location. With that said i would say 13.4-13.6 stock would be a good guess when the weather is good like late sept. The same car running right now(july) with all this heat/humidity would run 13.7-13.9 with no other changes than the weather. This is one thing many people new to racing dont take into account and get pissed espically when they race in april and than add parts(headers, lid, gears etc) and than race in (june, july, august) and run worse times and are like what the fug is gooing on. As for the vibration, sounds like it could be a broken trans mount or your pinion angle got changed some how... How is the car when you are on the highway cruising at 70mph. Can you feal vibration, what if you give it some gas and take it up to 80mph do you feal any vibration... Also try this take it up to 70 and than let off the gass and coast down to 50, do you feal vibration than.... Any one of thoes conditions indicate a wrong pinion angle. You would have to say when you feal the vibration(accelerating or decellerating).

the trans mount is fine, bushings and everything were replaced when trans was rebuilt. the vibration is horrible from about 60-90 on acceleration. cruising at about 70 you can feel it but not that much. in the driver seat you dont feel as much but in teh passenger seat you feel everything it feels like a dog shittin bricks!!! shakes very bad makes me wonder how i drive this thing everyday. if you sat in ityou would be like i want out. slowing down from 70 - 50 on the expressway i never felt i will pay attention to it on my way to work. one thing to say is that it vibrates when you rev the motor. from about 1800rpms- 2500 rpms!!

find somebody local with hptuners to scan/log it for you. that can give you a good idea of why it is not up to par.

here is some easy **** to do.

-fuel filter ***
-clean the maf with "qd electronics safe sensor cleaner" found at home depot= comes in a blue can like brakecleen.
-plugs
-oil

like somebody also said- you do not have THAT much done, and 6-speeds are difficult to drive. wait till it is cooler out and see what the mph is, and practice driving to see if you can get to that 13.6 @ 105mph.
