Higher HP M6 help... Bog or Skate problem..
This season I put in a moser 12 bolt w/ 4.11s and a Dennys nitrous ready DS after blowing my rear last year. I also have since then added a few boltons... 58mm TB, 42# injectors, and I just put on new Metco Lca's with relocation brackets. I have my Spohn Drag race sway bar waiting to go on this week.
Well I started this season with everything but the lca's and relos and cut a best of 2.0 60' on motor. I would either bog or skate of the line and just couldnt find a medium, launching at 4k would bog and at 5k would skate...
I then put on the metco lca's and relos and cut a best of 1.9 today on motor. and a 1.7 on nitrous which I was bogging.
Today I was launching again at 4k with the front qa1's set at 4-4 and rears at 6-6... then I tried at anything above 4500 rpm and it would skate.
I then droped the fronts down to 3-3 and rears stayed at 6-6 and I would bog at 4500 but skate at 5k.
I hope the rear sway bar may help me out "some". All these runs were on BFG dr's 275/60/15. I also have some MT ET street radials same size ready to be mounted after the BFGs go bald...
Anyone have any advice on settings or anything else?
Suspension mods are:
BMR adj TA
BMR adj phr
currently suspension techniques 1" rear sway bar, none on front (spohn drag race sway bar awaiting install)
Metco LCA's w/ relos
SLP diamond SFC's
QA1's all the way around...
What are all you higher HP M6 cars launching at and what techniques do you use?
Thanks everyone!
You need to put the ET streets or ET drags on. Drag radails won't hold with the 6m and your power. Then launch 5-6K. Set your pinion angle is around -3. Set front shocks at 1 backs around 4-6.
I have a similar setup as you. I cut 1.5 60's with 420 rwhp and 1.43's with with 555 rwhp on the spray.
Full weight 99 T/A Sohn TA, BMR LCA's, Qa1's, Mosier 12bolt, 4:11 etc. I run a 28" ET Drag.
