how many run a 28'' slick at the track??

i'm looking at moving up to a 4.30 gear and a 28'' slick for my ws6 ta.(i have 4.11's w/26'' on now) DID YOU HAVE TO MOD THE FENDERS AND HOW DID YOU DO IT? i have 15'' welds, should i go 28x10.5 or 28x11.5 on the rear? THANKS,mike c.

I cut my bumpstops off had to hammer the inside front of the inner fenderwell to fit my 28/10.5/15's..Also there is a small lip just above the ground effects closest to the front of the tire I beat down just to make sure it doesn't contact each other..Other then that they fit pretty well..

SMOKIN01TA-yeah,i think 4.30's and a 28'' tire will help me hook better when the spray hits. i'm looking to get this done with in two weeks. thanks for the help.
