Good place to tap footbrake wire for 2 step?
I know this might be better suited to the electronics section but I thought I would get more responses in this section. I am trying to install my harlan 2 step. I am using the "latched" type operation. I want the 2 step to deactivate when I release the footbrake. Has anyone installed their 2 step this way that could help me pick a good wire to tap? Any help would be appreciated.

I'll have to dig for the exact wire. But from memory (it's been awhile since I helped do this) it's a blue wire on the switch that actually runs the brake lights.
You get the needed ground through the bulbs themsleves, and when you apply the brakes it drives that wire to 12V and lets the 2 step latch.
But don't take my wire color as 100% just yet. Let me do some research.

Well I messed around with a volt meter and found it. It is the blue wire in the assembly with the plunger that is above the brake pedal. Just figured I would post so someone in the future can find it.
